Micah & Cristie Reception | Destin Wedding Flowers

This is second part of Micah & Cristie’s destination wedding in Destin Florida. They had a romantic ceremony in the middle of thunderstorms and then had their intimate reception at Santuary By The Sea in Blue Mountain Beach.  Their wedding Cake was made by Sweet For Sirten. Cristie had a lot of personalized touches throughout their space and filled with goodies for their guests. Micah’s  favorite was the personalized M & M’s, haha! We provided the decorations, vessels, flowers, and setup. The Candy Bar was overflowing so we added some to the wine bar, you can never have too many sweets for your guests! Cristie loves a modern design and wanted the space filled with candlelight. The cake table was just beautiful with towering vases that looked as if they were filled with ice.  They had submerged calla lillies, tulips and were topped with hydrangea. Can you guess what made the vases have that “ice” appearance? Plastic!  This tied into the cracked appearance of the table and some of the candlesticks which had a cracked ice look. Micah and Cristie’s family provided all the food. Check out part 1 of their wedding day with photos of the flowers and decor for the ceremony.

Micah & Cristie Destination Wedding | Colorado Wedding Planner – Colorado Wedding Florist | Colorado Wedding Planners | Denver Wedding Planner | Colorado Springs Florist - […] This is the gorgeous destination wedding of Micah & Cristie in Florida that we pulled off in the middle of terrible thunderstorms, tropical storm force winds, lightning, thunder, beach erosion, and the panhandle receiving record rainfall. We weren’t able to place the chandelier due to wind and we had to wrap the chiffon around the bamboo, the chair sashes were totally whipping in the wind, the chairs actually were blown over during big bursts of the storm…we were fearful we wouldn’t be able to set any flowers out. However, just several short minutes before their ceremony as they were about to arrive, we got a break in the storms. These photos were edited to where you can’t even tell how bad it was! It was truly a miracle that we were able to set up and they were able to have their ceremony in the drizzling rain. It was emotional and intimate, with a sea of umbrellas. It was beautiful! It was two people in love being joined in marriage rain or shine. It may have not been the sunshine day they imagined but it was their day and it was a day filled with lifelong memories of joy! We wish them the best and they had their sunshine on their amazing honeymoon in Hawaii! Watch for the next post with their reception photos. […]
